Unlike other NFT projects, which are mainly randomly generated PFPs or a single JPEG image minted as a single NFT. MYPUNKS consists of two types of tokens: FACE & ITEM (built with ERC-721). To unlock the full potential of the project, we encourage you to have at least one FACE and one ITEM. You can get this by opening the blind box (through minting event) or purchasing from the OpenSea market.
*Uppercase FACE and ITEM designate the Face NFT and Item NFT correspondingly.
FACE is randomly generated with no background and trait. It is an NFT that you are able to customize by putting on any ITEM you want. You can think this as a staking contract, where you can stake the accessories (ITEM) into the FACE. When trading on the market, the FACE will be treated as a whole. In other words, any accessory (eg. Sunglasses) on the FACE will be traded together. People who receive the FACE with ITEM equipped on it also have the ownership of that ITEM.
By opening the blind box, you will get something like above. We have included more than 10 skin colors to ensure that people are able to find one that can best represent themselves. Some rare skins such as Zombie, Majin Buu, The Terminator, etc. may also appear.
ITEM is a randomly generated NFT based on a variety of item categories and can be equipped or removed from the FACE whenever you want. You can equip a maximum of 7 items on the FACE.

Eyes (Sunglasses, Eyeshadow, etc.)
Mouth (Pipe, Lipsticks, Cigarette, etc.)
Background (Solid Color, Rainbow, etc.)
Neck (Choker, Necklace, etc.)
Ear (Earrings, Headphones, etc.)
We have developed an AI-Coloring Engine to automatically colorize the item, ensuring a greater possibility and randomization.
If you've got both FACE and ITEM. Congratulations! It’s time to do the magic.
Think of your FACE as a staking contract. Your ITEM is the token that you want to stake. When you put your ITEM on the FACE, your ITEM will be temporarily locked into the FACE. You will see your ITEM disappear in your wallet. But don't worry, as long as you own the FACE, you still own the ITEM.
The process is pretty much the same for taking off the ITEM you no longer want. The ITEM will be unstaked from the FACE and returned to your wallet. And then you are able to use it again. You can check our tutorial in the later sections.
